Kos
The birthplace of Hippocrates - Kos offers a variety of activities, such as diving, cycling, sightseeing in mountain villages, tours in wineries, explorations in archaeological sites and very interesting gastronomic experiences. Well-known for its legendary bars and lively nightlife from previous decades, Kos is gradually developing a complex tourist identity and is evolving into an attractive destination offering more than just lying on the beach.
The island is pretty touristy and at the same time traditional, cosmopolitan, filled with countless antiquities and sandy beaches. With a coastline of more than 100km, it is very difficult not to find a beach that you like! Most of them are award holding beaches, easily accessible and covering all tastes: small, large, sandy or pebbly, with large waves or tranquil waters, well organized and trendy or quaint and isolated.
In the village of Kardamena you will find a sandy beach that is well organized. There are many water sport facilities along the beach and if you do not want to stray far away to eat, you will definitely find a nearby restaurant that suits your taste.
Lambi beach is one of the busiest beaches of the island at a very close proximity to the city center. It is located on the west side of Kos town and basically it is its continuity. Lambi has a Blue Flag for its clean water and for the number of services offered.
Tigaki Beach - this beach is considered as one of the most beautiful on the island for those who appreciate shallow, turquoise waters and endless sand on the seabed. The settlement is considered touristy, with countless deck chairs spread across the coastline, water sports, cafes, restaurants, shops and apartments.
